We were engaged by FirstEnergy to develop a long-term Roof Asset Management Program throughout a 5 state regional area. FirstEnergy was concerned with their aging building envelope conditions and how those conditions could potentially impact their electrical generation and transmission operations.

Technical Assurance manages 12 million square of roofs within the diverse portfolio, including Fossil Power Plants, Nuclear Plants, Hydro Plants, Service Centers, Operation Centers, Administrative Buildings and Sub Stations. The entire Roof Asset Management Program is managed through the ON-PNT^® Enterprise Building System Management Platform. Since the beginning of the program, Technical Assurance has designed and managed the replacement of nearly 3.5 million square feet. The program has afforded FirstEnergy with total cost of ownership savings of over $50 million over the life of their roof portfolio.

Technical Assurance also provides façade, pavement and parking consulting services. In 2012, we developed an accelerated workflow process for FirstEnergy to complete tens of millions of dollars of construction projects over a 4 month period.

The workflow allowed us to manage the design and bid processes simultaneously within ON-PNT^®. At all times, projects were in design, bid and under construction. ON-PNT^® provided the necessary document, schedule and cost management tools necessary to complete this large, multi-project accelerated design and construction processes
