He is the founding Co-Chair of the Building Enclosure Council Cleveland Chapter and member of the National Institute of Building Sciences.

Over Jim’s 30 year career, he’s obtained valuable experience in sales, marketing, management and finance within a variety of industries. Over the past 16 years, he has been in the construction and building envelope consulting industries where he’s been involved with strategy development and implementation, process improvement, operations management and service program development. Jim’s ability to manage large scale projects and multi-level teams continues to drive progress towards achieving organizational – and client – goals.
Kurtis Taylor, PE
Vice President, Director of Building Envelope Engineering Services
Kurtis brings 14 years of structural engineering expertise to Technical Assurance’s leadership team. He is a licensed professional engineer with a proven history of providing exceptional customer service to clients in an array of critical industries, including K-12 and higher education, healthcare, local and state government and commercial properties. Prior to joining Technical Assurance, he held leadership positions responsible for multi-million-dollar façade and parking garage restoration projects, providing engineering oversight, design review, drawing approval, structural evaluations and analysis for facilities, parking garages and plazas. Kurtis’ entrepreneurial drive and industry expertise strengthens the Company’s mission to provide high performance building enclosure consulting and asset management services to our multi-facility clients.
Liam Flannery
Director of Sales
Liam has been selling roofing and building materials services for over 30 years. His background shows a history of bringing programmatic solutions to customers. Prior to joining Technical Assurance, Liam built and managed the national accounts program for one of the largest and well respected roofing contractors in the US. He established successful maintenance and reroofing programs with Fortune 1,000 companies focusing on roofing and building envelope operations. Liam has held leadership positions with leading roofing material manufacturers and a supplier that represented major roofing products; he is also a member of the Technical Assurance Leadership Group.
Dan La Fountain, RRC, RRO
Federal Markets Program Manager
Dan has over 40 years of experience in the roofing industry, including twelve years as a roofing contractor and twenty-six years as a roof consultant. Between 2005 and 2014, Dan was a designer and project manager for the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE). He designed and managed roofing projects at eight of the DOE NNSA NSE sites with annual budgets as high as $15 million. Since October of 2014, Dan has been the Program Manager for the Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration Roof Asset Management Program. He manages the roof assets of 10 sites across the country, with annual budgets up to $30 million.

Dapo has 28 years of Information Technology experience in both the private and public sectors. He is a SharePoint Architect with a wealth of experience in systems development life cycle and technical project management. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Physics and a master’s degree in Information and Telecommunication Systems Management. He also serves as an Engineering Leadership Advisory Member with Ashland University.
Tara Vanta

With a decade of dedicated service to Technical Assurance, Tara brings extensive program and technology management experience to the executive team. Throughout her tenure, Tara consistently assumed leadership roles, demonstrating technical acumen and a focus on simplifying complex challenges. In her most recent program management role, Tara spearheaded the execution of multimillion-dollar asset management initiatives, overseeing more than 8,000 condition assessments annually at building locations nationwide. With a background in technology services, Tara also possesses versatile expertise in IT project management, data governance, database administration, and geospatial technologies. The diverse trajectory of her career uniquely positions Tara to lead the development of innovative technology solutions for Technical Assurance’s nationwide projects and programs.
