Strategic Stewardship & the Preventative Maintenance Master Plan

Although many facilities managers have embraced energy efficiency and environmental stewardship, few have made sustainability a strategic priority. This involves a holistic approach, integrating all aspects of facilities operations, financial management and business/organization leadership defined as “Strategic Stewardship.”

We hope you join our breakout session at the APPA 2016 Annual Meeting & Exposition on July 13th from 2:15-3:15 pm. Technical Assurance’s President, William J. Roess, and Bruce A. Meyer, EdD, Assistant Vice President of Campus Operations at Bowling Green State University will be discussing Strategic Stewardship and the Preventative Maintenance Master Plan.

Strategic Stewardship and transformational leadership will be explored through a real-world case study focused on the Bowling Green State University campus and their unique program involving a “Preventative Maintenance Master Plan.” The program focuses on existing campus facilities assets and comprehensive asset management, using a modified master planning process and the latest in innovative GIS/facilities integration technology.

Attendees will learn:

  • How to integrate “Strategic Stewardship” with campus life, academics, community, Corporate outreach and fiscal/administrative management to advance competitive edge.
  • Total cost of ownership and comprehensive asset management for optimal efficiency and change management. This program includes tangible measurement formulas for return on investment, energy savings, funding growth and admissions increases (or business growth).
  • A practical approach for implementation of strategic stewardship using a “Preventative Maintenance Master Plan.”
  • An introduction of the latest in integrated GIS/facilities portal technology for practical application, providing real-time building system life cycle management, collaboration, automated workflow management, financial tracking and forecasting, capital planning and relational database reporting.

We hope to see you on Wednesday, July 13th. We’ll also be exhibiting throughout the entire event, so come by and say “hi” in the exhibit hall!
