Waterproofing Services
Technical Assurance was engaged by the Cleveland Clinic to provide waterproofing design consultation and quality observation during the construction of the new 350,000 square foot facility.
The Cleveland Clinic campus site is known for a high water table. Without the proper design and installation of the appropriate waterproofing systems, many of their buildings and garages’ foundation or basement systems would leak severely.
Considering the critical nature of the high water table that exists, Technical Assurance was engaged to provide expert sub-grade waterproofing consultation and commissioning. Additionally, we provided roof design consultation and review, performance testing (uplift and IR) and quality observation services throughout construction. The waterproofing system design included a specialty inverted bentonite clay panel system installed under the concrete hydraulic slab and on the vertical walls with a hot applied rubberized asphaltic system on the upper walls and on below-grade concrete roof decks.
Our relationship with the Cleveland Clinic is ongoing. Technical Assurance has completed over 20 building enclosure projects at multiple Cleveland Clinic locations.
