Cleveland Clinic & CWRU Health Education Campus Construction

Waterproofing & BECx Services

Technical Assurance was engaged by Cleveland Clinic, in partnership with Case Western Reserve University, to provide part-time waterproofing consulting and testing services on the new Health Education Campus buildings. The new $515 million campus is approximately 485,000 square feet and is intended to promote collaborative learning. Additionally, Technical Assurance was contracted to perform Fundamental Building Enclosure Commissioning (BECx) services on the 129,000 square foot Dental Clinic within the Health Education Campus.

Our building envelope team monitored the installation of the MiraClay EF waterproofing system to ensure that the installation met the design specifications to provide a watertight building envelope.

The BECx team provided services throughout the design development to construction phases of the new Dental Clinic. The building includes both clinical areas and collaborative learning environments. The project goal is to achieve LEED Silver.
